Rishton is a small-but-proper East Lancashire village just outside Blackburn — its own high street, stone-built terraces around the core, and some newer estates spreading out. Easy run up the A678 from our Lower Darwen shop, and we're often through Rishton on the way to Great Harwood or Accrington.
A lot of Rishton housing is typical 1890s–1920s red-brick terrace — solid construction, fairly uniform stair widths, and usually decent floorboards under the existing carpet. Good honest housing that takes flooring work well.
We do plenty of stair-and-landing carpet jobs in Rishton — BB1 tenants and owners tend to prioritise getting the stairs sorted first, and we've got stock rolls of hardwearing twist in greys, silvers and flecked beiges specifically for that sort of project.
Recent Rishton job: retired lady on one of the terraced streets near Rishton Station, carpet on stairs was unravelling at the edge. New hardwearing polypropylene twist in light oatmeal, underlay and grippers replaced, 90-minute fit. £155 supplied and fitted. She made us a cup of tea and we were done in no time.
Whatever type of flooring you’re after for your Rishton home, we’ve got the range and the fitters. Both our Burnley and Lower Darwen showrooms stock the core rolls and boards and we deliver and fit across BB1 as standard.
Pop into either showroom, give us a ring, or request a free measure — we’ll have your quote inside 24 hours.
